MLB Playoffs...."Where Banks Grow" 10/7

2010 MLB Playoffs---

Colorado Rockies @ Philladelphia Phillies-

Call me crazy, but i thin kthe Rockies have a chance a winning the National League this year. They are a very streaky team, and when hot you better watch out for a run. They have good pitching, good defense, and good hitting which is the perfect combination for winning the World Series. The Rockies are coming into this season pretty hot winning 5 of their last 7 games, while hte Phillies have been struggling a bit by dropping 6 of their last 10 games. Jiminez has been brillant this year, and seems to be getting better every start. He has posted a 3.47 ERA this season, and a 2.70 ERA in his last three starts. On the other side of the bump Cliff Lee has actually struggled lately, and seems to be tiring down the stretch. He sports and ERA over 6 in his last three starts and hasnt won since September 15th. Look from a strong start by Jiminez, and the Rox to get on the board early and hold off that fiersome Phillies offense.
Rockies +130

St. Louis Cardinals @ La Dodgers-

This should be a pitching battle from the first pitch to the last. Both starters have been feeling it of late, and too say Carpenter has been amazing would be an understatement. In his last 3 starts he has posted a 0.45 ERA, and outside of one bad start has posted nothing but quality starts the last couple months. In my opinion the 2010 CY Young Winner will not care where he is pitching today, because he is a gamer. Randy Wolf has not been bad lately, but he hasnt been nearly as good as Carpenter. Carp has especially been great on the road this season where he has posted a 2.05 ERA to go along with a 9-2 record. In Carpenter's 8 career playoff stats he holds about a 2.50 ERA, so he has been there. This will be Randy Wolf's first career playoff start, in LA, facing the best pitcher in baseball. Not a great spot for Mr.Wolf. Look for Matt Holliday and company to score a little bit more than you would expect in this one. Ill take the road favorite, which is normally not my move!
Cardinals -133

I am going to lay off the Yankees game today, but i will take a stab with the Twins in one game when the time is right!
