NBA, Wednesday October 28th-

Yesterday's Recap-

Had a solid day yesterday going 2-1 with a nice hit on the late game teasers. The Celtics defeated the Cavs 95-89, and fought off a great start by the Cavs. Really thought Lebron's supporting cast would help me out a little bit more. Did hit on the Wizards as they won by 11, 102-91 as a 8.5 pt dog. They didnt make me sweat at all! On the teaser it got a little crazy towards the end but was able to pull it out as the Trailblazers won 96-87 and the Lakers won 99-92. Overall i went 2-1!

New York Knicks @ Miami Heat (-5)

I thought this spread would come out around 9 or so, so obviously i was happy when i saw this morning line. I think the Heat will be much improved this year, and that Beasley is going to be a beast. If Wade can stay healthy, and O'Neal can stay on the court this will be a very dangerous team in the eastern conference. The Knicks still have a lot of problems, and they never really have a set lineup because D'antonio likes to change it up to much. The Knicks do have some talent, but its not used right. I like the Heat to pull away in this one, and win by double digits. Miami (-5)

Detroit Pistons @ Memphis Grizzlies (+2.5)

I think the Pistons will regain their form from a couple years ago, and really compete in the east this season. They had several key additions to their team this year including hot shooting Ben Gordon and Charlie Vilanuevea. I think when you combine that with Stuckey, Rip, and Prince you have a damn good team. It will depend on how much they get out of Kwame and Big Ben, but i think they will be a very good team this year. Thats too many veterans not too play well! The grizzlies on the other hand dont have much going for them outside of O.J. Mayo. They are going to be trying out a bunch of new guys, including at the point with Conley and Williams. I think they will be at the bottom of the conference all year. Pistons (-2.5)

New Orleans Hornets @ San Antonio Spurs (-9)

First off i do think the Spurs are going to be one of the best in the west this year, but i dont think the Hornets are getting enough credit. The Hornets are pretty much the same team from a couple years ago, and i really think adding Okafor will help this team out a lot. He will be a bigger inside precense than Chandler because of his blocking ability and ability to be more physical. Throw in Chris Paul and David West and they should be able to cover the 9 points. The Spurs will more thank likely win this game, but it will be closer than double digits. Hornets (+9)
