NBA Friday Night Fire!

Yesterday's Recap- Not a great day yesterday as the Yankees/Phillies game ended up being a pitchers duel, and the trip for San Antonio proved to be hurtful. So was 0-2 on the day, but i feel a HUGE day coming today with a huge slate of action on the NBA.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Philadelphia 76ers

Even after a tough loss against the NBA's most dangerous team, The Orlando Magic, i believe the 76ers have a quality squad who can put up some points. If Thadeous Young and Louis Williams can come into their own this year, and Brand stays healthy this will be a dangerous team. On the other hand the Bucks are a very young team, and will take some time to grow up. The 76ers did shoot over 50% in their first game, and Speights proved he has the capability to score over 20. The 76ers have won 5 straight games vs the Bucks, and will make it 6 with a huge blowout win. 76ers (-6.5)

Washington Wizards @ Atlanta Hawks

This should be a high scoring, no defense type game as both teams love to run. Neither of these teams do much on the defensive side, but can score in bunches. Now that the Wizards have Gilbert back they have a brand new offense that can really put up some points. The Hawks are returning all of their starters and have also added Crawford who can put up 30 on any given night. Both of these teams put up over 100 points in their first game, and this game should go over very easily. Look for a 115-120 type game in this one.
Over 202.5

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Detroit Pistons

Just like i said the other day, i think the Pistons will be one of the most improved teams this year with their key additions. Ben Gordon was great in his first game, and once Prince and Villanueva get going watch out! The Thunder did have a big win in game 1, but they were playing the Kings who i regrefully say are terrible! The Pistons dominated their first game on the road vs memphis, and the Thunder will be playing their first road game of the year in a hostile environment. Prince should be able to contain Durant by using his long arms, and playing very physical. This could get ugly quick with the deep pistons! Pistons (-5)

Toronto Raptors @ Memphis Grizzlies

The Raptors played great in their first game, and dominated Lebron and the Cavs. The Raptors have a pretty deep team this year and if they can keep Calderon on the court they will be deadly team led by Chris Bosh. Toronto has proved in the past they can win on the road, and it doesnt really matter where the Grizzles play as they showed the other night losing by 20 to the pistons. The Grizzlies do have some young talent, but the veterans for the Raps will dominate this game inside. Raptors (-2)

Dallas Mavericks @ LA Lakers

If you watched any of the Mavericks game the other night you know why im betting against them today. I know the Wizards are improved with Gilbert, but they lost by ten at home to an eastern conference team. The Mavericks are not the same team, and without Josh Howard they are even worse. Jason Kidd can still play, but will not put up the numbers he used too at this age. The Lakers are a very deep team, which is why they can cover bigger spreads. Look for Odom, Kobe, and Bynum to have big games in this rout. Lakers (-8)

Lovin the favorite today!
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD NIGHT!

World Series Total and a EZ NBA Winner!

Yesterday's Recap-

Had another solid day on the hardwood yesterday going 2-1, and bringing the NBA overall record to 4-2. Started off with a couple of nice wins in Miami and Detroit. Both teams started off a little slow but picked it up during the second half with the Heat winning 115-93 and the Pistons winning on the road 96-74. The Hornets started off strong but falted after the first 7 minutes losing to the Spurs 102-89.

Philladelphia Phillies @ New York Yankees

After a nice pitchers duel yesterday i fee like there will be some fireworks tonight from both teams. Both pithcers have been decent this year, but both can get hit hard on any given night. The Phillies are clicking offensively and besides last night the Yankees have also been killing the ball. I dont think either of these pitchers will be able shut down these offenses for long. I do think the Yankees will win this game in a high scoring affari, and A-Rod will come back strong after last nights 0-4 showing. Look for a lot of runs early and late in this one.  Over 9 Runs

San Antonio Spurs @ Chicago Bulls (+2.5)

Well i wasnt going to play this game at first, but then thought about it and realied im only going to have to give 2.5 pts with one of the best teams in the NBA. The Spurs didnt even play that great last night, and completed dominated the game. Also it seems like the Public is loving the Bulls in this one, so i decided to once again go against the public :). The bulls have lost their best scorer from last year, and are forced to play with an inured D Rose. Tony Parker should play in this one, and force Rose into some tough shots. I also look for Richard Jefferson to have a huge game after he got some nerves out of the way in his first game with San Antonio. In short, ill take the better team with a small number. Spurs (-2.5)

NBA, Wednesday October 28th-

Yesterday's Recap-

Had a solid day yesterday going 2-1 with a nice hit on the late game teasers. The Celtics defeated the Cavs 95-89, and fought off a great start by the Cavs. Really thought Lebron's supporting cast would help me out a little bit more. Did hit on the Wizards as they won by 11, 102-91 as a 8.5 pt dog. They didnt make me sweat at all! On the teaser it got a little crazy towards the end but was able to pull it out as the Trailblazers won 96-87 and the Lakers won 99-92. Overall i went 2-1!

New York Knicks @ Miami Heat (-5)

I thought this spread would come out around 9 or so, so obviously i was happy when i saw this morning line. I think the Heat will be much improved this year, and that Beasley is going to be a beast. If Wade can stay healthy, and O'Neal can stay on the court this will be a very dangerous team in the eastern conference. The Knicks still have a lot of problems, and they never really have a set lineup because D'antonio likes to change it up to much. The Knicks do have some talent, but its not used right. I like the Heat to pull away in this one, and win by double digits. Miami (-5)

Detroit Pistons @ Memphis Grizzlies (+2.5)

I think the Pistons will regain their form from a couple years ago, and really compete in the east this season. They had several key additions to their team this year including hot shooting Ben Gordon and Charlie Vilanuevea. I think when you combine that with Stuckey, Rip, and Prince you have a damn good team. It will depend on how much they get out of Kwame and Big Ben, but i think they will be a very good team this year. Thats too many veterans not too play well! The grizzlies on the other hand dont have much going for them outside of O.J. Mayo. They are going to be trying out a bunch of new guys, including at the point with Conley and Williams. I think they will be at the bottom of the conference all year. Pistons (-2.5)

New Orleans Hornets @ San Antonio Spurs (-9)

First off i do think the Spurs are going to be one of the best in the west this year, but i dont think the Hornets are getting enough credit. The Hornets are pretty much the same team from a couple years ago, and i really think adding Okafor will help this team out a lot. He will be a bigger inside precense than Chandler because of his blocking ability and ability to be more physical. Throw in Chris Paul and David West and they should be able to cover the 9 points. The Spurs will more thank likely win this game, but it will be closer than double digits. Hornets (+9)

NBA Opening Night!

Are you ready for opening night? I have been waiting for the season to start for the past month, and im excited for it to finally be upon us. We have a great slate of opening night action including the two top dogs in the east. Here are the winners for the first day of the season:

Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers (-4.5)

This is one of the best openers ive seen in a while as the two beasts of the east will battle it out in Cleveland. Lebron loves big games, and as far as openers are concerned it doesnt get much bigger. The favorite and the home team are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 match ups between these teams, and the Cavs have covered 8 of the last 10 and 18 of the last 24 games. The Cavaliers have added some nice talent to support Lebron James and Mo Williams by adding Big Daddy Shaq and Anthony Parker to help fill out that roster. The Cavs were an asstonishing 39-2 at home last year, and 36-15 ATS at home in their last 51 games. The Celtics are the trendy pick to win the east this year, but i dont think the addition of Sheed will change that much from last year. They have allready lost some depth with the loss of Big Baby, and these "old team" from 2 years ago is even older. Ill take the better team in their house. Cavaliers (-4.5) ****

Washington Wizards @ Dallas Mavericks (-8.5)

I think the Wizards will be one of the most improved teams in the East this year despite the early loss of Antwan Jamison. I think a healthy Arenas automatically makes the Wizards a playoff team in the east especially if Caron Butler plays up to his ability. The Mavericks added a old Marion in the off season, and are going to be missing their stud young player Josh Howard for the first couple weeks. I think the Mavericks have gotten pretty old, pretty quickly with Jason Kidd, Marion, and an agin Dirk. The upstart Wizards should be able to stay with Mavs throughout this game, and maybe steal a win on the road. These arent the same Mavericks you remember from a couple years ago, but these are the Wizards from two years ago with a healthy Arenas. Wizards (+8.5) **

Lakers (-6.5) + Trailblazers (-4.5) **

Monday Night Football!

Philladelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins (+9)

Well at first i really didnt think twice about this game because it was too risky on each side, but then came the line movement. These line opened up at 5 points, yes 5 points!! Even at five i really didnt like the Eagles because of how they played last week, and the fact that they havent had much of a rushing attack this year. Then when the line moved a whopping four points i knew i had to take the skins. Not just because nine points is a lot but because when a line moves 4 whole points that means a lot of money is going on the Eagles and there is one thing the books never do, and thats lose! The Redskins have played everyone tough this year, and the Eagles looked awful on the road last week. Ill take the hard running Clinton Portis and the Redskins getting nine points at home. I also expect this to be a very low scoring game, and it should go under the total as well.

Redskins (+9) ***

Sunday Night Total!

Had a solid afternoon today going 3-2, and hope to make it a big night!

Arizona Cardinals @ New York Giants (over 47)

Not a long write up for this one, but i think there will be a lot of points. Both of these teams have tremendous offenses, and neither have been playing great defense. The Giants have a lot of injuries on defense, and the Cards just dont have the talent. I see both quarterbacks having HUGE games, and there should be a lot of points quickly in this one. Im not sure if the ground game will get started in this one, but they will be passing all day long! This one might be over before halftime!

College Football Winnerz 10/24

College Football 10/24

Nice winner last night with Rutgers, as they really showed me that i should fade Army all season long. I have some nice picks today to keep everyone going through the weekend!

Uconn @ West Virginia (-7.5)-

This will definetly be one of the more emotional games of the year when Uconn takes the field for the first time since the death of their starting quarterback. I think the Huskies will come out on fire, and their loss will be the fuel that will keep them going. This will not be a blow out, and even if they lose it should come down to the wire. Uconn is 6-0 against the spread this season, and that includes some tough games covering against Pittsburgh and Baylor. Overall they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games, and 4-0 vs teams with a winning record. Even though Jarrett Brown says he will be playing today, he wont be the same qb. He is still coming off a concussion, and will be tentative at best. WVU is 1-4 ATS at home, and 1-6 ATS against teams with a winning record. They have also lost 3 of their last 4 against the spread. This should be a close one, so ill take the points. Uconn (+7.5) ***

Oklahoma @ Kansas (+8)

I think these spread would make sense if Sam Bradford was playing, but once again he will nto be playing today. That leaves Todd Reissing vs Landry Jones, In Kansas so ill take my chances. Oklahoma is 0-2 ATS on the road this year. Their only wins this season are against Baylor, Tulsa, and Idaho so im not convinced that Landry can win big games. This will be the toughest road start that Landry has faced this season, and their will be a lot of pressure to score a lot of points because everyone knows Kansas will score. Kansas is 5-1 overall on the season, and they are looking rebound from a tough loss vs Colorado. They are 4-0 ATS at home and 5-2 ATS following a loss. This should be another close game. Kansas (+8) **

Tennessee @ Alabama (-13.5)

Now here is the blowout that everyone is waiting to see. After a couple of nice dogs i really like this large favorite to blow Tenn out of the water. Mark Ingram should see plenty of daylight vs this Volunteer team, and run wild against them, but thats not why this will be a blow out. Tenn. will not be able to move the ball at all, and this great defense should force a lot of turnovers. Alabama is 7-0 on the year, and 5-2 ATS that includes some big wins both on the road and at home. In this matchup last year Alabama won by 20 in Tennessee, and won by 24 in Bama in 2007. Tennesee is back on the road after several weeks at home, and they did bring back that horrible quarterback Crompton with them :). They are also 2-5 ATS in their last seven following a win. Ill take the big favorite and the best team in the country. Alabama (-13.5) ****

Friday Night Lights! No not High School...

Tough couple of day's on the bases after a huge choke by the Yankees after a nice little comeback. Im hoping my great Friday Night Football record continues as we should have an easy blowout winner tonight!

Rutgers @ Army (+10.5)-

First off when this season started i thought Rutgers would compete for the Big East title, but after Tony Pike and his crew dismantled Rutgers people forgot about them. Rutgers has won 4 of its last 5 games, and Tom Savage seems to be getting better with every single game. They allready also have a nice road win under their belt as they went to Maryland and won by 21 points. They are 5-0 ATS on the road, and they are also 5-1 ATS against teams with a losing record. On the other hand Army has lost 3 of its last 4 games, and have also lost at home to Duke by 16 and Tulane by 1. Rutgers is much better than both of those teams. Army is 1-4 Ats as a home dog, and 1-10 ats against the Big East Conference. Ill take the big road dog tonight, and play it large!
Rutgers (-10.5) ****

Ill be back tomm for this weekends college winnerz!

Thursday Night Winner!

ALCS Game 5- Yankees @ Angels

Well for a while i thought i was going to play the Angels today, but after that dissapointing loss the other night i feel like they are done fighting. The Yankees lineup has proved to be too powerfull for this Angels rotation and bullpen. The Yankees should finish them off tonight, and here's why. A.J. Burnett has right around a 2.00 ERA in his last three starts, and seems to be getting stronger in the postseason. This Angels bullpen is also depleted, and if Lackey doesnt go 8 innings they might be in some deep trouble. The Yankees have only lost 1 game this postseason, and they have the hottest hitter in baseball dominating everyone they throw out. They have also won Burnett's last 5 starts. The angels have lost 7 of their last 8 ALCS games dating back to last year, and Lackey has not been good at home vs good teams. Burnett has also been a lot better at night posting a 3.05 at night vs over a 5.50 era during the day. Lackey has been good this postseason, but that will stop tonight with A rod and the Yankees. Yankees (-105) **

Tuesday Night Playoffs... Where my Dog's at?

Had a huge night last night after a couple of nice walk off winners on the diamond. Now that was October baseball folks!! Look to continue my hot trend on the basepaths with a nice Home Dog. I think this series will go 7 games, which means ill get some good value on the halos!!

New York Yankees @ LA Angles

Did the Angels look pumped up last night or what? This is going to be one hell of a series, and the Angels will not be laying down anytime soon. This should be a fantastic pitching matchup and another hard fought game. Now lets get to some stats! First off C.C. is pitching off of 3 days rest, which is always unpredictable. Also the last time he traveled to Los Angeles he was knocked around to the tune of 9 hits, 3 walks, and 5 earned runs over 6 and two thirds. So he is hittable when facing this powerfull lineup. The Yankees have also lost 7 of their last 8 on the road in the playoffs, and they have lost their last 6 games as a slight favorite  between -110 and -150. On the flip side i found a very cool trend concerning Mr.Kazmir, he has thrown 9 straight quality starts vs the Yankees. That is crazy!! The Angels are also perfect at home in the playoffs, and 7-1 in their last 8 home games and also 6-0 as a home dog. They have won 5 of their last 6 when Kaz starts, and should roll tonight! Take the nice priced home dog in this one. Angels (+122) *** 3 Star Bet

Monday Night Madness...

I appolgize for my bad weekend as i didnt have a lot of time to go over things, but that will change! Im also going to start rating my picks on a star basis. Most of the time my picks will be rated between 1 or 5 stars, but im some games i will throw a large 10 star bet out there. If you are planning on following me set your units to my stars. Anyway, lets get to the picks!

Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chagers (-3)-

I believe the wrong team is favored in this one as the 2-2 Chargers face the 5-0 Broncos in a battle of opposite strengths. Mike Nolan has this defense playing great football this year, and they look like a brand new team. Its easy to spot that the strength of this team is their defense, and on the flip side the strengh of the Chargers is their offense. This isnt the same Chargers team though because they are having a very hard time establishing the run. There has a been a lot of pressure on Phillip Rivers to make the big plays, and he has falltered when the defense puts pressure on him, and hes only sporting a 90 qb rating. Kyle Orton has been great this season not only managing the game, but leading the Broncos on some big scoring drives. Dont look past Kyle Orton or this young Broncos team. They are perfect ATS this season, and still get no respect by being the underdog agaist a .500 team. This Chargers team is always overvalued, and even at 1-3 ATS they are a favorite vs a 5-0 team. Also to answer your question, THIS TEAM IS FOR REAL! Defense wins games, and they have defense.
Broncos (+3)... * 1 Star Bet

New York Yankees @ LA Angels (-120)

After a rough one the other night look for the Angels to rebound against the soon to be 2009 World Series Champions. I do think they Yankees take this series, and win it all but... not tonight. Jered Weaver has been great lately, and has pitche well beyond his years. Weaver is 2-1 with a 1.47 ERA in his last 3 starts, and sports a 2.72 ERA on the year. He pitched a great game vs Boston last week, and looks t follow that up with a great start tonight. The Angels have also been a terrific home team this year, and should benefit from playing in front of the home crowd. The Yankees are 1-6 in their last 7 games on the road during the playoffs. The Angels have dominated as a favorite winning their last 5, and also have won 6 of their last 7 home games. The Angels are pissed off about that debacle from the other night, and are going to come out ready to play. This series will not go 3-0, stamp it!
Angels- *** 3 Star Bet

ADD-

Phillies (-120)

ill make this quick, i dont trust Wolf and the phillies line up is deadly. Phillies ** 2 star bet

I might be adding the late game with a small play on the phillies...ill keep ya posted :) Once again please become a follower, and make comments. Im going to do big things with this site! Also if anyone want to help out or contribute a write up, let me know. And as always...

Tuesday Night Football!

Arkansas State @ UL Monroe (-2.5)

Its always fun to have something to watch on a Tuesday night, especially a college football game with a couple of exciting offenses. I wont have the longest write up tonight, but i mean cmon its Akransas State @ UL Monroe. I do think the public has once again gone the wrong way on this game as it opened as Ark State -1, and i got this game at +2.5! When looking at the records you might think im crazy because of Ark State's 1-3 record but before you think im crazy those three losses are too Nebraska, Iowa, and Troy. Three solid teams, and they played Iowa tough on the road only losing by 3. Thats the same team that beat Penn State! UL Monroe is 1-4 ATS as a slight favorite in their last 5 games. The underdog in this series is 9-0 ATS, and the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 games. Ill take the better team with the points! Arkansas State (+2.5)

NFL Sunday....Can i borrow a fire extinguisher?

NFL Sunday

As you all i know (I hope), iv'e been on fire this entire NFL season and i dont plan on slowing up anytime soon! There is a nice slate today, and i have some great games to tell you about. Im also 3/4 on big teasers this season, so take a stab at that too!

Cincinatti Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens (-9)-

I know the Bengals have looked a lot better this season, but so have the Ravens. Flacco is proving to be a great draft pick, and outside of a one tough week has been phenominal this season. Even though Carson Palmer has looked better this season, he is still having trouble making correct decisions. He has only 6 touchdowns to his 5 interceptions and is sporting around a 75 quarterback rating. I think Ray Rice and Willis Mcgahee should have a big game today, and run that clock down in the second half. This Bengals team has trouble moving the ball at times, and they will have a miserable day vs this team who beat them by 31 last season. Look for an easy win here, Ravens (-9)

Cleveland Browns @ Buffalo Bills (-6)-

You should probably go ahead and get your popcorn ready for a coming out party. T.O. has been held to basically nothing all season, and that is going to end today. Im gonna go out on a limb today and say Owens has over 100 yards and a touchdown today in the dismantling of this miserable team. The bills have looked miserable the last 2 weeks, but a game vs the Browns is exactly what they needed. They started out the season ok this year, but almost beating the Patriots and then dismantling the Bucs. Derek Anderson has one touchdown vs four interceptions this season, and it hasnt mattered who has been behind center this season for the Browns. Trent Edwards has not been great this year, but they should be able to move the ball easily on the ground. Bills (+6)

Washington Redskins @ Carolina Panthers (-4.5)-

This could be a very sloppy game as both quarterbacks have turned the ball over a lot, but once again i think the ground game by the Panthers should carry them to victory. The two headed monster of Dangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart havent gotten of too the best start, but today could be a great day. These same teams met last year in Carolina, and it got ugly quick leading to a 47-3 Panthers win. I think Delhomme will have a bounce back game, and show a little bit of that super bowl year performance. Also dont let the 0-4 record for the panthers fool you, all 4 losses have been against playoff teams. On the other hand the Redskins lost to a team with no victories last season, so dont compare their records. Panthers (-4.5)

Tampa Bay Bucs @ Philadelphia Eagles (over 41.5)-

This one will be short and sweet. The Eagles will hit this over by themselves vs this pathetic excuse for a defense. After Monte Kiffin left this team wait straight down the shitter on defense. The Eagles have gone over the total every game this year, and they will make it 5 straight this season today. Look for a lot of points, and some quick strikes by Donovan McNabb. McNabb will be ready to go for this one! Over 41.5

Atlanta Falcons @ San Francisco 49ers (-2.5)

This is going to be a highly contested game, where both defenses could shine. The loss of Frank Gore didnt really affect the 49ers, partly because the Rams were on the other side of the field. Glen Coffee will have to have a huge game today for the 49ers to control this one. He looked good at certain times last week, but will have to be more consistent in the running game. Shaun Hill has been once again great this season, and always minimizes his mistakes. Since he has been a starter, he hasnt lost at home. I dont see that trend breaking, vs a team who has been vulnerable at times on both sides of the ball. Look for Patrick Willis and Takeo Spikes control the running game and force Matt Ryan into some tough throws. I think the 49ers will control the time possession and come out with a big win going into the by week 49ers (-2.5)

TEASER OF THE DAY!!
Ravens, Steelers, Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, and Vikings! Big pay out on this 6 pt teaser, dont let it slip through your hands again! I have hit 3 of 4 on these this season.

Thats all from the hottest NFL capper on the net.

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD NIGHT!

Fridays MLB Winner...Plus NCAA Football Saturday!

BIG WEEKEND COMING!

Looking for a big weekend, and will start tonight with a big MLB winner. Had a strong 2-1 day yesterday, should of been 3-0 but Missouri decided to give up 27 points in the 4th quarter!!

Boston Red Sox @ LA Angels (-105)-

The Angels looked great last night in a decisive victory vs the team who always spoils thier playoff dreams. Lackey shut down the Red sox for 7 innings, and then Oliver cleaned it up at the end. The Angels will look to get to Beckett early today, and let Weaver do his thing. Beckett is not the same pitcher he used to be becuase of some lingering injuries. He has over a 4 ERA in his last 3 starts, and even though he is usually amazing in the playoffs he had a 8.79 ERA in the playoffs last year. Weaver has a 2.65 ERA in his last 3 starts, and has been solid down the stretch. The Angels have been solid down the stretch, and want to travel to Boston being up 2-0 in this series. They are ready to redeem themselves vs the team who always dominates them in the playoffs. Getting a great line on this one! Angels (-105)

NCAA- Loving the Dogs!!

Auburn @ Arkansas (+2.5)

I love home dogs in general, especially when the road favortie has proved nothing to me all season. Arkansas has a great quarterback in Mallett, and he has the arm to go deep vs this secondary. Mallett has thrown 11 touchdowns vs only 2 interceptions on the year, and has been solid since his transfer out of Michigan. Arkansas also beat Auburn on the road last season, and they are much improved. I know Auburn is now ranked, but their schedule has been very favorable to say the least. This will be a tough in conference road game for them. Auburn is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 on the road, and Arkansas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 as a home dog. Arkansas (+2.5)

UGA @ Tennnessee ( -1.5)-

Pretty confused about this game because UGA should be favored here. Tenn has looked every bit as awful as everyone thought they would be. UGA also beat this same Tennessee team 26-14 last year. Cox has been very inconsistent, but as long as he stays away from Eric Berry he should have a good game. Caleb King should also be able to find some holes on the ground. It took a B.S. penalty from UGA to upset the #4 team in the country last week, and they will be amped up for this rivalry game. Crompton is an awful football player, enough said. UGA is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 as a road dog, and tenn is 3-7 in their last ten as a favorite. UGA (+1.5)

Houston @ Mississippi St (-2.5)

I still feel like this Houston team has been disrespected, even after a rough one last week. I think they may have been looking ahead to their chance to beat an SEC team. They should be able to come back strong vs Miss. St and put up some nice numbers. Mississippi State looked awfull vs Georgia Tech last week, and they ran all over them. The quarterback has been a huge question mark for this team all year, and they have no identity behind the center. On the other side Casey Keenum is a stud, and has thrown 13 touchdowns to only 2 int's on the year. Houston is 4-0 ATS as a dog, and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs the SEC. Miss. St. is 0-5 in their last 5 as a favorite, and 0-4 in their last 4 vs non conference foes. Houston (+2.5)

Florida @ LSU (+7.5)

This should be a fun game, and a lot closer then most people expect. LSU is a great home team, and even better at home at night! Last time the Gators traveled to Baton Rouge they lost, and they could lose this game as well. Tim "JC" Teebow is coming off of a tough hit, and a concussion and there is not telling how he will react. He really hasnt had to fight through an injury before during his tenure at Florida. I think LSU will put a lot of pressure on him, and try to hit him early. He might also come out a little tentative, and Florida might have a safe playbook for him. LSU is 11-3 ats in their last 14 as an underog, and i think they will e in this the whole game. LSU (+7.5)

10/8 MLB Playoffs and NCAAF

Had a rough day to start the playoffs, but looking to redeem myself today with some nice action. Will also be betting on the football game tonight with an easy underdog winner.

Colorado Rockies @ Philladelphia Phillies- Im not giving up on this Rockies team, and even though they looked awful yesterday they should redeem themselves today. At first glance you would not think that the pitching match up favors the away team, but it does. Aarron Cook is 11-6 with a 4.16 ERA on the year while Hamels is 10-11 with a 4.32. The diffrenece is actually even bigger when looking at the last three starts where Cook has a 2.81 ERA to an over 7 ERA for Cole Hamels. The Rockies should be able to get the bats rolling a little bit today. They also faced Hamels in the beginning of the season, and roughed him up pretty good. My gut also tells me the Rockies wont go down without a fight after this hard fought season. This is also partially a value play though as i will be getting great money on this pick. Rockies +145

Boston Red Sox @ LA Angels- This pitching matchup does favor the Red Sox in many ways including how great Lester has been during the last month, but dont sell Lackey short. He has pitched 5 straight quality starts against these Red Sox, and has been the ace of this staff for a while. This will be his fifth year in the playoffs, and he has been up and down during that playoff career, but look for him to break out this season. The Angels come into this season on fire winning 7 of their last 8 games while the Red Sox limped in losing 6 of their last 10 games. The Angels have won 4 of 6 vs the Red Sox in LA this year, and they are out for some revenge. They will not let the Red Sox just kick them out of the playoffs. This will be a hard fought, fun to watch series with the Angels coming out on top. Angels -105

#22 Nebraska @ #18 Missouri (+3.5)- Now you may be wondering why i included rankings in my header because i never do that. Well he's why, Why is the team who is ranked higher, in the same conference, who is playing at home a 3.5 point underdog? I was very suprised when i saw this considering how great Missouri has looked despite not having Chase Daniel. These two teams played last year in Nebraska, and Missouri still won by a score of 52-17. I know Missouri hasnt exactly had the toughest schedule, but they have beat a couple quality teams. Also as bad as Missouri's wins are, they are better than what Nebraska has done. There "best" game is a loss to VT. Blaine Gabbert has been perfect this year with no interceptions, and looks to continue that streak. Take the home dog in this one. Missouri (+3.5)

MLB Playoffs...."Where Banks Grow" 10/7

2010 MLB Playoffs---

Colorado Rockies @ Philladelphia Phillies-

Call me crazy, but i thin kthe Rockies have a chance a winning the National League this year. They are a very streaky team, and when hot you better watch out for a run. They have good pitching, good defense, and good hitting which is the perfect combination for winning the World Series. The Rockies are coming into this season pretty hot winning 5 of their last 7 games, while hte Phillies have been struggling a bit by dropping 6 of their last 10 games. Jiminez has been brillant this year, and seems to be getting better every start. He has posted a 3.47 ERA this season, and a 2.70 ERA in his last three starts. On the other side of the bump Cliff Lee has actually struggled lately, and seems to be tiring down the stretch. He sports and ERA over 6 in his last three starts and hasnt won since September 15th. Look from a strong start by Jiminez, and the Rox to get on the board early and hold off that fiersome Phillies offense.
Rockies +130

St. Louis Cardinals @ La Dodgers-

This should be a pitching battle from the first pitch to the last. Both starters have been feeling it of late, and too say Carpenter has been amazing would be an understatement. In his last 3 starts he has posted a 0.45 ERA, and outside of one bad start has posted nothing but quality starts the last couple months. In my opinion the 2010 CY Young Winner will not care where he is pitching today, because he is a gamer. Randy Wolf has not been bad lately, but he hasnt been nearly as good as Carpenter. Carp has especially been great on the road this season where he has posted a 2.05 ERA to go along with a 9-2 record. In Carpenter's 8 career playoff stats he holds about a 2.50 ERA, so he has been there. This will be Randy Wolf's first career playoff start, in LA, facing the best pitcher in baseball. Not a great spot for Mr.Wolf. Look for Matt Holliday and company to score a little bit more than you would expect in this one. Ill take the road favorite, which is normally not my move!
Cardinals -133

I am going to lay off the Yankees game today, but i will take a stab with the Twins in one game when the time is right!

Monday Night NFL Total!!!

Monday Night Total!

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings Over 46.5-

This is one of the most anticipated NFL games of the year, and i have your play right here. I know there has been a lot of hype surrounding Favre's return to Green Bay, but maybe the hype should be around all the offensive weapons both these teams have. First off the Viking have the best runner in the NFL, and also some dangerous receivers (when Berrian is healthy). Green Bay has just as many tools with Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Grant, and maybe the NFL's best deep threat in Greg Jennings. I see a shoot out coming tonight with the Packers airing it out like the old Brett Favre days, and the Viking running between the tackles. This should be a fun game, with a ton of points! Look for Aaron Rodgers to finally come through huge tonight, and have a monster game vs this secondary. Both of the meetings between these teams went over the total last year. Also the Packers have gone over the total 5 of their last 6 games while the Vikings have went over 3 of their last 4. Im excited to see this game, and hope to be over by the end of the third quarter!!

Stay tuned for some nice MLB Playoff winners this week, including tomorrows 163rd game!!

NFL SUNDAY!!

Not a lot of time for write ups, so here are some quick picks.

Ten/Jax Over- This should be a fast paced, high scoring contest. Look for MoJo and Chris Johnson to have huge Games

Hou (-8)- The raiders are absolutely terrible, and Shaub has looked great this season. Even though the Texans Defense is shaky, Russell is the worst rated QB in the NFL.

Dal (-3)- Denver has had a very weak schedule, and got lucky for Cinci. Look for a solid game on the ground for Dallas with Choice and Barber. Denver's run defense is overrated.

5 Team Teaser Special of the day- I own teasers and have won a 5 team on 2 of the first three weeks this season. Teaser = 6 pt, Indy, Chi, Hou, NYG, SF

Mia (Pk)- Miami is too good to be winless, and the Bills have lots of problems all over the place. If Edwards doesnt get Evans and T.O. involved they wont win often. Look for Miami to run all over the place today.

Sorry for the short write ups!!

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD NIGHT

Saturday is a Dog Day!!! Coming off a HUGE week!

SATURDAY

Im very excited for this weekend after a dominated last weekend! I hope you dont miss out on this dog day as some under dogs might be making some noise. This has been a crazy year so far, and im smelling something staright NASTY for this weekend. Once again if you want me to cap a game that i have not listed, justt let me know and i will write it up. Without further a due....the winners baby!

Michigan @ Michigan State (-3.5)- We shall call this game... "What the Fuck are they Thinking"
Ok so let me get this straight. We have two teams from the same conference, one of them is 4-0 and one of them is 1-3. Now lets say the 4-0 team has won three straight games in the 1-3 teams stadium. Now lets say the 4-0 has covered the spread 3 of their last 4 games, and the 1-3 team has only covered 1 of their last 5. Well this is why i call this the "What the Fuck are they Thinking" game, the 1-3 team is a 3.5 point favorite. Ive never been so confused about a line in my life, some people call this a trap game, but when the spread goes 4.5 points in the wrong direction i call it easy money. On op of this Michigan State is 1-4 ATS in thier last five at home. Mind Boggling!!!  BIG PLAY Michigan (+3.5)

North Carolina State @ Wake Forest (-2.5)- We shall call this game... "Keeping a Trend"
I say keeping a trend because the home team has covered the spread in 8 of 10 in this series. I love this game for a bunch of reasons first of all, Russell Wilson is not as good as everyone thinks he is. He sucked vs. the only good defense he played and then ran up the school against some blind teams. Way to drop 65 on Murray State! Wake Forest is coming off a very tough loss that they gave away on the last play of the game last week. Riley Skinner is a fierce competitor, and will not lose this game in his house. Wake Forest is 5-1 ATS in their last 5 home games, and they are also 11-2 ATS following a loss. Look for a nice easy, comfortable home win for Riley Skinner and crew. Wake Forest (-2.5)

LSU @ UGA (-2.5)- We shall call this game... " What the Fuck am I thinking"
For some reason i keep betting on UGA, and they keep kicking me in the ass. Im not just talking about this year, but every fucking year. The funny thing about it is, i hate UGA and they are one of my least favorite teams to cheer for. From what ive noticed this spread has drastically changed since i took it at 2.5. Normally this is an awfull thing as the public is on my side, but we shall see. All the facts point to a big let down game for the Tigers. LSU has lost 3 of their last 4 games ATS, and are 1-7 ATS follwing a straight up win. They are also 1-4 ATS in their last 5 as dogs. Sorry for all the numbers, but you know me! Joe Cox looks suprisingly better with every game, and he might actually be able to steer this UGA team to a nice bowl game. UGA beat LSU 52-38 in Baton Rouge last year, and they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 as a home team.
UGA (-2.5)

Georiga Tech @ Mississippi State (+5.5)- We shall call this game..." Revenge smells like Money"
As we all know GT can not throw the ball, and they wont even really try to throw the ball. This is why its very easy to gameplan for a team like this. Mississippi State knows whats coming, and they can prepare for it just like Miami did. Im sick of this Georgia Tech team fooling me on games, i think i finally got them figured out. One thing ive noticed is that they rarely play two great games in a row, especially with one on the road. They are also 1-5 ATS following a win. They have lost 3 of their last 4 ATS and are 3-10 as a 3-10 poing underdog. On the other side Miss. St has looked great, despite their record. They really impressed me last week vs LSU. Their defense looked strong, and the offense moved the ball with ease. They are ready to redeem themselves after an embarrasing lost to GT last year. They are 6-0 ATS as a home dog, and 5-0 ATS in home games. Mississippi State (+5.5)

Oklahoma @ Miami (+7.5)-  We shall call this game... "This isnt Idaho St or Tulsa Landry"
This will be a great game and i dont care what the spread is. In miami with Bradford out, this is an even matchup in my mind. So when i see a game i consider even at 7.5, i pee in my pants. I know Landry Jones has looked good the last couple games, but i mean Chris Rix could throw on Idaho State or Tulsa. Jacory Harris has been all over ESPN the last couple weeks, and im sick of it. The thing is maybe he deserves it, he has looked quite good. Im not saying hes gonig to be a NFL star, but he could be a college one. He is poised and patient and seems to love the spot light (unless its raining and muddy :). This will be Landry's first real game, and i dont think he is ready nor has the talent to win. Miami is looking to rebound nicely with an emphatic win over a top ten team. They have won 3 of the last 4 games ATS, and are 5-1 as an underdog in their last 6. Dont forget about that 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against non-conference foes. Miami (+7.5)

Just missed the cut... Minnesota, UNC, Vandy, and Tennessee.

If you want a game capped let me know. Also will help with Fantasy Football moves and as always....

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD NIGHT!

Afternoon Delight...Easy Baseball Total

I havent really played many baseball games during the last month or so, but i love this total and could not lay off.

Tigers/Twins Over 9

This looks like it should be set at 11.5 at least because both of these pitchers havent had the greatest years, and have struggled even more lately. Both of these offensives have been clicking on all cylinders and i expect a high scoring contest with a slight lean to the Twins. Im going to lay of the side, and pound the total! Both of these pitchers have over a 6.00 ERA in there last three starts and have not fared well vs each other's teams. The over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 when these teams face each other. The over is also 5-1 when Baker faces the Tigers, and 4-1 when Robertson faces the Twins. If this doesnt go way over, im gonna be shocked. Everything adds up in this one, so pound it!!
