Tuesdays Winners 4/19

We have a great card today including two NBA playoff winners and a couple ez winners on the diamond. Lets start this week off right!

Min Twins @ Baltimore Orioles

Im going with this game for several reasons, and the biggest one will be Carl Pavano. After a rough opening day he as rebounded nicely giving up just 1 earned run in his last 16 innings. In Pavano's last game vs the Orioles he was able to pitch a complete game shut out, and the game before that he threw 8 innings and only gave up 2 earned runs. Arrietta did not fare as well vs the Twins last year as he was battered around and handed the loss. He also has over a 7.00 era this season, and when you pair that with the Orioles having lost 8 straight games this is a easy dog to take.

Twins ( +102)

Boston Red Sox @ Oakland A's

Even though the red sox have strung together a couple wins im still not comfortable with them on the road where they are 0-6 this year. The A's will start the series with Anderson on the mount who is sporting a cool 2.29 ERA so far this season. On the other side of field the Red Sox will be countering with Lackey, who has looked older than ever this season. His era is currently over 15.00, and he looks lost out there. The A's have also won 4 of their last 5 vs the Red sox.

A's (-115)

Atlanta Hawks @ Orlando Magic

Im really confused about this line, and thats not just because im from Atlanta. The Hawks have owned the Magic this season by winning the lasat 4 games in a row, 3 of those being on the road. The Hawks looked excellent in game 1, and the Magic had no answer for them defensively. Look for the hawks to continue to play Howard straight up, and shut down the rest of the magic. Hawks will stay close in this one, and could pull off the victory.

Hawks (+9.5)

Portland Trailblazers @ Dallas Mavericks

There arent as many stats to back this one up except for the fact the eye test screams Mav's in this one. They looked great in Game 1, and with the rest of the west struggling right now they may have a title in their sites. Look for the Mav's to run through the first round. The injury to Brandon Roy has affected his play all season, and i dont see them winning without him at full strength. Also during this series the home team has dominated, so lets roll with the Mavs.

Dallas Mavericks (-3.5)

Good Luck!
